So much to see and do!
This past week I did a lot of exploring of Nice. We took a tour on Saturday with Dr. Brami of Nice. We went up to the very top of the hills and saw such amazing views! I can’t believe how beautiful this place is. I can’t stop taking pictures, it’s so surreal. We had a couple of days off this week after our placement test and I took a trip with some other students to Monaco. Just the bus ride there was amazing! Monaco is such an exciting place. We visited the Exotic Gardens and saw the most amazing and interesting plants! There was one that looked like a bunch of giant ribbons. I have never seen anything like it before! We also visited Monte Carlo and the casinos. They look nothing like the casinos back home in Atlantic City!! You aren’t allowed to bring a phone or camera inside with you and it costs 10 euros just to check your items! It was still a really fun trip. We did a lot of walking! There are so many different levels because of the mountains and we had to take public elevators to get to certain places. It’s such a rich and interesting place. I definitely want to go back there again and see more. It’s only a 30 minute bus trip and only costs 1 euro!
I still can’t get over the beauty of this place. I don’t know why everyone doesn’t ;I’ve here. The weather is so much nicer than the snow back home in New Jersey and the landscapes are simply breathtaking! No wonder so many artists came here for inspiration! I don’t have an artistic bone in my body and it even makes me want to pick up a paint brush! The people are so nice and understanding. If I’m in a store and there’s something that I don’t understand, someone always helps me find what I need. Theres such a great sense of community here and I’m so glad to be a part of it. I haven’t even been here two weeks and I’ve already seen so much. I’m so happy that I have another four months ahead of me!
